Sensational discount on Verb font family.
ThumbnailIf there's one thing every designer needs in their toolkit, it's a workhorse font. A workhorse font is the typeface you turn to again and again; it's your first stop; your default option. Your workhorse font is deeply entrenched in your personal style, it defines your portfolio even more than your client list. Not too long ago designers were divided into two camps: those that tended to work online, and used Helvetica as their workhorse; and those that tended to work in print, and used FF Meta as their workhorse. The truth was that Helvetica (or Arial for the less discerning) was the best web-safe font available. FF Meta, was a beautifully designed sans-serif that graced many a design, but it was expensive to license and technologically difficult to use online. Fortunately, those days are gone. With the advent of @font-face designers have been freed in their choice of fonts and a whole new generation of typefaces are realistic options. Amongst them, is a font family from Yellow Design Studio that may just be your new workhorse. Verb is a lovingly crafted font, suitable for both display and body text. There are 9 weights available — Extralight, Light, Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold, Extrabold, Black and Ultra — giving you total flexibility: Additionally each weight has a true italic counterpart. Verb weights Perhaps the best thing about Verb is that in addition to the standard OpenType format (that installs on Mac and Windows) it ships with .eot, .svg, .ttf and .woff formats, meaning that it's web-ready; just upload the files to your server and set up your CSS. Verb is a rare typeface in that it is extremely readable, whilst still holding onto a great deal of character. The contemporary feel makes the font suitable for all kinds of design, business and lifestyle applications; and the angular curves, most notable in the open counters and descender on the lowercase 'g', give the font a fun, energetic feel. This go-to font is something you'll want to use again and again over the next decade or more. Verb uses Normally priced at $270 for the full family, for an extremely limited time, our sister site MightyDeals.com is offering Verb for just $9. That's a staggering 97% discount, and possibly one of the best deals we've ever had. Have you used Verb in a project recently? What uses can you envisage for it? Let us know in the comments.
