Martina Plantijn
Martina Plantijn is a beautiful Old Style serif that is elegant, understated at small sizes and features graceful curves and proportions at larger sizes. Named for the 17th-century printer, it is a flexible and robust family for fine typography.
NN Konrad
NN Konrad was designed as a contemporary reimagining of the first printed roman type from the 15th century. Its early gothic heritage is apparent in the letterforms, updated for the digital age. It’sIt’s a brilliant typeface that stands out from the crowd.
Gismo
Gismo is a chunky font family with four styles: Round, SemiRound, SemiRectangular, and Rectangular. The modern sans-serifs have thin connectors and sharp terminals. It’sIt’s a unique set of fonts that is a gift for logo designers.
Solfa
Solfa is a condensed sans-serif designed to be used at large sizes. Its heavy weight and bold graphical shapes are attention-grabbing. Initially designed for the foundry’s branding, it’s a rugged, confident typeface that leans into the Brutalist trend.
Anona
Anona is an upright italic — a sans-serif that employs all the characteristics of an italic except the slant. It works wonderfully well on screen, thanks to its vertical strokes. And the hand-written quality adds a clear human presence to the design.
Wander Cloud
Wander Cloud is one of those typefaces that look amazing but are next to impossible to read. Use it sparingly, and don’tdon’t think about running text. It would work well if the right combination of letters were needed.
Paramount
Paramount is a pair of typefaces, regular and Neo. The former is more usable, but Paramount Neo has the most character, drawing inspiration from NASA’sNASA’s famous worm logotype. They are excellent choices for brand design, together or singly.
Juneau Deco
Juneau Deco is a beautiful example of architectural type design. It was created as a custom typeface by Tour de Force for the Stalwart Group based on Art Deco lettering on its Wisconsin headquarters. Juneau Deco is free to use with attribution.
Kayshi Sans
Kayshi Sans is an elegant sans-serif with graceful curves built into the letterforms so that the word shapes appear to undulate. The high-contrast and flared terminals give it a retro feel.
South East
South East is an excellent workhorse, with 18 styles ranging from Extralight to Black and accompanying italics. Its design is based on the Korean alphabet’salphabet’s shapes, yet it looks distinctly Swiss.
Calleo
Calleo is a modern font family offering highly useable sans alongside a more experimental Flux variation. It’sIt’s highly legible at small sizes, making it a good choice for screen design, and Calleo Flux is an intriguing design for headings.
Artemesia
Artemesia is a beautiful serif with mixed-width glyphs. The flowing ribbon-like strokes feel calligraphic, and the typeface has an evident Greek influence.
Lucius
Lucius began life as a serif, but during the design process, a sans emerged. Retaining some of the characteristics of the serif, the family is a bold, almost black design. It’sIt’s a solid choice for logo design or short headings.
Isard
Isard is a hard-working sans-serif with 14 styles, from Thin to Black, plus accompanying italics. It has a pleasant vertical rhythm and slight boxiness. It works well for large blocks of text.
Garibaldi
Garibaldi is a condensed sans with a strong rhythm and geometric forms. There are nine weights which give you a great deal of flexibility. It’sIt’s a strong choice for logos.
